About Us
Experience doesn’t retire.
It finds a new direction.
Purpose Again helps people turn a lifetime of experience, strengths and interests into meaningful next steps beyond full-time work.

Why we exist
Retirement planning has traditionally done a good job of answering the financial questions. But leaving work can change much more than income. It can change routine, identity, relationships, community and the feeling of being needed. And with years, often decades, still ahead, “what’s next?” deserves more than a generic answer. Purpose Again was created to help people find their own.

Experience spanning ageing, innovation, policy and community.
Purpose Again brings together people with experience across retirement systems, ageing and wellbeing, public policy, technology, organisational transformation and social innovation. Its publicly announced advisory group includes expertise across each of those areas.
The broader ambition
A future where later life is seen for what it still holds, not only for what has ended.
There is enormous experience sitting within our communities.
Purpose Again wants to make it easier for people to recognise what they still have to contribute, and easier for organisations and communities to create meaningful ways for that contribution to happen.

People don’t suddenly stop having something to offer because they stop working.
Experience still matters
Decades of knowledge, skills and lived experience don’t disappear at retirement.
Purpose is personal
For one person it might mean mentoring. For another, learning, volunteering, creating, working differently or simply reconnecting with their community.
Reflection should lead somewhere
Understanding what matters is only useful if it helps someone take a meaningful next step.
